Project Name: Mandela’s Struggle for Peace

Aim of the Project

The project aimed to honor the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela, a global icon who dedicated his life to fighting racism and advocating for peace and equality. Mandela’s unwavering commitment to justice and humanity serves as an inspiration worldwide.

This initiative aligned with the observance of Mandela Day, an annual international day celebrated on July 18th, Mandela's birthday. Officially declared by the United Nations in 2009, the day highlights Mandela’s contributions and calls for individuals to carry forward his vision of peace and equality.

Project Description

The project was designed in two parts to foster awareness and engagement:

  1. Competitions (July 9 – 15, 2020)

Outcome of Part One:

  • A significant number of participants submitted thoughtful and creative entries, showcasing their understanding of Mandela’s mission.
