Introduction & Rationale
Rotary International has long been recognized for its unwavering commitment to education and skill development. Among its many initiatives, Rotary Scholarships stand out as an exceptional opportunity for students and young professionals seeking to pursue higher education and contribute to global peace and development.
Despite the existence of these scholarships, awareness among Rotaractors and students remains limited. Many young leaders, who could greatly benefit from such opportunities, are unaware of the eligibility criteria, application process, and long-term impact of these scholarships. To bridge this gap, Rotaract District Organization 3281, Bangladesh, took the initiative to organize this webinar on Rotary Scholarships, aimed at educating participants on various funding opportunities and inspiring them through the experiences of past scholars.
Objectives of the Webinar
The primary goals of the webinar were:
Enhancing Awareness: Educate Rotaractors and students about Rotary Peace Scholarships and other funding opportunities offered by Rotary International.
Guiding the Application Process: Provide a step-by-step guide on how to apply for Rotary Scholarships successfully.
Experience Sharing: Offer insights from a Rotary Peace Scholar who shared firsthand experiences and strategies for securing the scholarship.
Encouraging Leadership Development: Inspire young minds to utilize these opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Promoting Peace and Service: Showcase how Rotary Scholarships align with Rotary’s vision of peacebuilding and sustainable development.
