🌍 On December 1, 2024, OKUP proudly joined other community-based organizations (CBOs) at Mohakhali, Dhaka, to celebrate World AIDS Day 2024. This year’s theme, "Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right!" emphasizes the universal right to health and the urgent need to address inequalities that hinder progress toward an AIDS-free world.
🔴 The World Health Organization (WHO) calls upon leaders and citizens globally to take meaningful action in fighting HIV/AIDS, asserting that health is a fundamental human right. Advocacy efforts like today’s celebration play a vital role in spreading awareness, fostering dialogue, and driving change.
As we reflect on this year’s theme, let us commit to breaking barriers, supporting equitable healthcare, and ensuring that no one is left behind in the fight against AIDS.
