Conducting Pre-Decision Orientation Session in Tangail

I had the privilege of facilitating a Pre-Decision Orientation (PDO) at the grassroots level, attended by 30 enthusiastic villagers. This session was part of OKUP's initiatives under USAID's FSTIP Activities Project, focusing on combating human trafficking and promoting safe migration practices.
Key Highlights:
✅ Safe Migration: Discussed the importance of migration cost calculation and informed decision-making to ensure safer outcomes.
✅ Trafficking and Child Marriage: Explored how child marriage acts as a contributing factor to human trafficking and ways to mitigate this risk.
✅ Support Mechanisms: Shared information about services available for migrants and survivors of trafficking.
The session was further enriched by the presence of a District Employment and Manpower Office (DEMO) representative, who provided insights into government migration services and addressed participant queries.
These orientations play a vital role in empowering communities with critical knowledge, fostering safe migration practices, and addressing the root causes of trafficking. Together, we are creating safer and more informed communities! ✨
