  • Reaching Communities: Peer Leaders successfully reached 759 individuals with critical information about safe migration, helping them make informed decisions.
  • Preventing Child Marriages: Through proactive intervention, Peer Leaders stopped 41 child marriages, safeguarding the rights and futures of young girls.
  • Survivor Identification: Developed innovative strategies for identifying trafficking survivors at the grassroots level, strengthening community-based responses.
  • Fostering Collaboration: Encouraged cross-community collaboration to address human trafficking challenges comprehensively.

Last month, I had the honor of facilitating two dynamic Quarterly Meetings with Peer Leaders under OKUP’s FSTIP project. These gatherings brought together dedicated leaders from Narsingdi and Narayanganj to review their progress, share insights, and plan future initiatives to combat human trafficking and promote safe migration practices.

Key Achievements Highlighted During the Meetings:

The meetings were filled with dynamic discussions, interactive sessions, and strategy-building activities, all aimed at empowering Peer Leaders to make a tangible impact in their communities. These leaders are the driving force behind fostering stronger, more resilient communities and ensuring that trafficking prevention and survivor support remain at the forefront of our efforts.

I am immensely proud to be part of this movement and to work alongside such dedicated individuals who are committed to creating a safer, more equitable future for all.
